The successful German-French cooperation between the Goethe-Institut Lyon, the Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand, the AG Kurzfilm Bundesverband Deutscher Kurzfilm, German Films and the KurzFilmAgentur Hamburg presents a program of extraordinary short films from Germany. After the premiere in Clermont-Ferrand, all movies will be available on DVD or Blu-ray with German, French and English subtitles for all Goethe-Institutes worldwide and their partners for the purpose of cultural and educational work.

From over 500 German submissions, we chose 6 wonderful short films that range from comical over fascinating to heart-warming. Resembling a kaleidoscope, the show the different facets of German reality and thereby offer a multidimensional picture of Germany. This way, these films not only teach about current filmmaking, discourses and societal topics, they also contribute to a fun way of learning German.
